On the morning of September 10th, at the Foreign Trade University – Hanoi Main Campus, the kick-off ceremony for the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2022 – 2023 Northern Region took place. Attending the ceremony, from the Foreign Trade University, were Associate Professor Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy – Chairwoman of the University Council; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung – Head of the Faculty of Finance – Banking; MSc. Vo Xuan Loc – Secretary of the Youth Union, along with faculty members from the Faculty of Finance – Banking. Representing the CFA Society Vietnam were Mr. Ly Lam Duy – Board Member and Strategy Member; Ms. Do Thi Xuan – Board Member, along with the contestants representing 9 universities in the Economics – Business field in the Northern region participating in the competition.
The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition in the field of financial analysis involving representatives from over 1,100 universities worldwide. In Vietnam, the CFA Society is the authorized organization responsible for selecting the national representative team to participate in international competitions. Foreign Trade University – Hanoi Main Campus regularly participates in the competition and has a history of outstanding achievements in this arena.
Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of the leadership of the Foreign Trade University, Associate Professor Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy extended her best wishes to the organizers of the competition and the contestants. She also pledged that the Foreign Trade University would always accompany and support the competition to identify the best representative of Vietnam to participate in the regional rounds.
Following the kick-off ceremony, the contestants participated in their first training session on analytical skills and enterprise valuation conducted by experienced experts from the CFA Society Vietnam.
Once again, the Foreign Trade University and the Faculty of Finance – Banking extend their best wishes to all contestants for a rewarding experience in the competition. Best wishes for a successful National round of the CFA INSTITUTE RESEARCH CHALLENGE 2022-2023.
