🎯 Social business creation is a trend that has been, is, and will continue to be the development direction and strategy of many countries, international organizations, and businesses worldwide. After several seasons, the global Social Business Creation competition has become a launchpad for many excellent projects, many of which are from Vietnam. The founders and supporters of these projects representing Vietnam on the global Social Business Creation stage, whether they are students, young entrepreneurs, or accompanying advisors, have brought the colors of the nation to the global entrepreneurial arena with pride and steadfast belief in the values that businesses bring. They are individuals with a mission to build a sustainable social entrepreneurship community, bringing passion, talent, and knowledge to contribute to a prosperous Vietnam.
πŸ”΄ INTRODUCTION TO THE GLOBAL SBC PROGRAM
Social Business Creation (SBC) is a global program on social business entrepreneurship initiated by HEC MontrΓ©al Canada (HEC) and Professor Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize laureate in 2006, aimed at achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Currently, SBC has 08 Hubs representing in many countries around the world such as Canada, Mexico, Germany, Argentina, India, Bangladesh, Bolivia, and Vietnam…, has attracted 1500 participants and more than 120 Universities from 26 countries around the world. Since 2018, Foreign Trade University has officially joined the co-organizing and co-creating network of SBC worldwide and become the managing unit of SBC in Vietnam (SBC Vietnam Hub). In addition to creative learning methods and rich experiences with global participants, SBC also brings opportunities for participants to win many cash prizes, scholarships, training courses, business visits, direct project pitching with global teams organized in Canada, and secure funding after the competition from EntrePrism.

I. GLOBAL SOCIAL BUSINESS CREATION COMPETITION – SBC COMPETITION 2023
πŸ”΄ PARTICIPANTS
Participants in the global Social Business Creation competition include:
➀ Students, high school students studying at universities, colleges, high schools in Vietnam and worldwide
➀ Young people with a spirit of learning and a passion for entrepreneurial projects
➀ Businesses engaged in social impact business activities
➀ Lecturers, experts from Universities, Organizations, Businesses with experience in advising, project consulting, entrepreneurship, wishing to participate in projects as advisors, consultants
Note: interested individuals without ideas wishing to participate will be connected to join existing businesses/projects. Businesses with projects will be supported by the organizing committee to connect with students with suitable expertise, experience, and good English proficiency.
πŸ”΄ ELIGIBILITY
➀ Participate in the competition as a team/project/group, unlimited number of members, each team must have at least 1 member who is a student from a college or university
➀ Projects of participating businesses and startups need to connect with at least 1 member who is a student from colleges or universities
➀ Participants without a team/project but wanting to participate will be connected to join existing teams/projects. Teams with projects will be supported by the organizing committee to connect with students with suitable expertise, experience, and good English proficiency.

πŸ“Œ The global SBC competition will take place over 8 months with many rounds and rigorous evaluation processes by domestic and international experts.
πŸ“Œ Selection process for rounds:
➀ Round 1: Project registration
➀ Round 2: Preliminary selection (online): Teams must submit a summary business model of the project (Canvas), a short video introduction, and a prototype of the project (if any)
➀ Round 3: Semi-final (online): Teams must submit a detailed business model of the project (report), demo version, and user experience feedback (if any)
➀ Round 4: Final (offline): Final teams will directly present their project in front of the jury, compete in the form of a Project Expo, and a Project Pitch
