FACULTY OF BANKING AND FINANCE PROFESSIONAL MEETING: MACHINE LEARNING IN FINANCE: APPLYING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS TO PERSONAL LOAN DEFAULT PREDICTION

🌟 In light of the rapid development of artificial intelligence in various fields today, on the morning of 23/5 at the FTU Digital Hub Innovation Space, the Faculty of Banking and Finance organized a professional meeting with the theme “Machine Learning in Finance: Applying Artificial Neural Networks to Personal Loan Default Prediction” for lecturers, PhD students, researchers, and students interested in this topic.

☄️ At the sharing session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Việt Dũng – Head of the Faculty of Banking and Finance introduced several topics such as:
– Overview of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and the Perceptron algorithm
– Mathematical foundations of ANN
– Initial data processing, handling imbalanced datasets, feature scaling, parameter initialization, building ANN, training, testing personal loan default prediction, and evaluating performance in Python (directly in Jupyter Notebook and using TensorFlow tools).

💥 The meeting was lively with discussions and sharing from the faculty’s lecturers and students. This event provided an opportunity for lecturers, PhD students, researchers, and students to apply this knowledge in teaching or scientific research to keep up with current trends.
