From the beginning until now, all programs of the Faculty of Banking and Finance have been built and completed based on the strategic orientation of the Foreign Trade University to keep up with updated trends in the banking and finance industry as well as the demand for human resources in this sector.
During the initial phase, our programs were created in response to the rapid growth of the Vietnamese financial market and financial system. Later, we focus on developing and providing in-depth education programs with an emphasis on internationalization as well as international and domestic recognition.
Our curriculums are designed to integrate with the programs of various financial certifications. The high-quality program of Banking and International Finance is one of the few programs in Vietnam recognized by the CFA Institute (USA) as a CFAI Affiliated University. Also, other programs have been recognized by Vietnamese and ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA) for their quality assurance. Moreover, we have cooperated with the University of Applied Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) – a leading university of applied science in Switzerland in launching the Advanced program of Banking and Finance.
Our programs always keep up with the trend of applying modern, creative and innovative technologies in the field of banking and finance. Recently, in the scope of the cooperation projects between the Foreign Trade University and a variety of organizations and businesses, FBF has added high-tech into the current curriculum as well as developed new contents in response to the digital transformation in the Industry 4.0 era.
The Faculty of Banking and Finance is proud to have a team of qualified lecturers, most of whom graduated from advanced economies with developed banking and finance system. Besides, FBF is known for various outstanding research activities. The Faculty members are leaders in several programs and research projects at all levels with a significant number of national and international publications. We own a range of papers published in prestigious international journals with impact factors from 1 to 5.
In addition, the Faculty of Banking and Finance also provides students with solid knowledge of financial insight and applied skills through extracurricular activities. For many years now, FBF has accompanied several organizations and businesses as advisors for students in several competitions that have become big brands such as I-Invest, CFA Institute Research Challenge, etc.
