Bachelor of Banking and Finance – Advanced Program

Bachelor of Banking and Finance – Advanced Program is a cooperative training program between the Foreign Trade University and the Northwestern University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) – currently a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AASCB).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Conditions of participation:

  • Students who have been admitted to the regular university of Foreign Trade University, have points for admission from the floor to receive applications for admission into Advanced and High Quality program (including priority points for subjects and regions, national / international tournament priority points).
  • Scores of receiving applications for admission: The floor of receiving applications for each Advanced and High Quality program is the threshold of matriculation admission to the program that has Advanced and High Quality program.

Conditions for program registration:

  • Students who have passed a major with a High Quality program training program can only apply to join the High Quality program of the selected industry.
  • Successful students who do not have a High Quality program, have the total score of the combination of admission subjects (calculated by a factor of 1) and the priority points for the subjects and the region, the priority points for the national / international tournament are not lower than The level of the floor that receives the application for the High Quality program is registered to the High Quality program as expected.
  • Students who are admitted to the university (all majors) have the total score of the combination of admission subjects calculated by a factor of 1 and the priority points for the subjects and regions, the priority points for the national / international prizes reach the floor level. The application of the program is registered with admission to the program according to expectations.

Admission method:

  • Assess your English proficiency through the English proficiency test: Students take the English language proficiency test (organized by the University according to the admission plan for course 57) with the format of the foreign language proficiency test from Grades 3 to 5 of the Foreign Language Competency Framework 6 grade for Vietnam as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and use test results to apply. The test is designed as a multiple choice test of 100 questions (40 Listening and 60 reading and writing sentences).
  • Students must achieve a minimum English score of 60 on the English proficiency test score, equivalent to an international English certificate (issued by reputable organisations recognised by the Ministry of Education and Training) , specifically TOFEL iBT with a score of 60 or higher, an IELTS score of 5.0, TOEIC with a score of 500 or above, or equivalent to be considered for admission to Advanced and High Quality program. Students who have both an international English certificate and a test score will be awarded according to the highest conversion point.
  • For students with an international English certificate (must be valid for 2 years from the date the certificate was granted to the date of application submission), the English score will be calculated according to the admission process. Student’s score has been achieved in certificates of equivalent scale.

Interview competency assessment in English:

  • The Council of Admissions to Advanced Program conducts an interview in English about general knowledge, desires and learning goals when participating in the program.

    How to determine A for students who are directly recruited: straight-recruited students will be assessed as follows:

    – Students who win an international prize: A = (Scoring floor receives the application file for admission of the selected subjects in accordance with the winning subject / field + priority points) / 3. In particular, the priority points are 5 points for the first prize, 4 points for the second prize and 3 points for the third prize.

    – Students who take the exam choose an international Olympic team, a member of the national team participating in the International Science and Technology Competition: A = (Scoring floor to receive admission registration documents of the admissions subject group in accordance with subjects / fields winning prizes + 2 priority points) / 3.

    – Students who win national awards: A = (The floor receives the admission registration dossier of the selection subjects suitable to the winning subject / field + priority points) / 3. In particular, the priority point is 1.5 points for the first prize, 1 point for the second prize and 0.5 points for the third prize.

    Method of determining A of students prioritised for admission: Priority points for national prizes for subjects prioritised for admission are determined by the Foreign Trade University’s Decision.
