On March 23, 2023, the Faculty of Finance and Banking at the Foreign Trade University, along with the Student Association of the Faculty of Finance and Banking (FBF Alpha), collaborated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in Vietnam (ICAEW Vietnam) to organize the “Finance in a Digital World” panel discussion. Attending the event from the university were: Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung – Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking; Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Tran Trung Dung – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking; Heads of departments, faculty members, and students interested in the event.
The panel discussion left a profound impression on the audience present that afternoon through the keynote speeches, providing insights and skills for the new era, predictions about the finance industry by Mr. Nguyen Duc Nghia – Market Development Director, Education Division, Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales – ICAEW Southeast Asia and China Region; or the changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the digitization trend of Vietnamese banks, and future predictions from the sharing of Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thanh – Deputy General Director of EY Vietnam Consulting Joint Stock Company. Additionally, the sharing of expertise and encouragement from Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung – Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, to the next generation of students at Foreign Trade University was incredibly impactful.
